Transgender Woman Wins US Supreme Court Deportation Fight (1)

The US Supreme Court sided with a transgender woman in her fight to appeal an immigration board’s decision to send her back to Guatemala.

In a unanimous ruling on Thursday, the justices said Leon Santos-Zacaria didn’t have to exhaust all of the administrative remedies available under the Immigration and Nationality Act in order for the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit to have the jurisdiction to hear the appeal.
