Transgender Teen Gets Bounced From Court—Again

Gavin Grimm, the teen at the heart of the dispute over federal protections for transgender students, saw his case bounced—again—from a federal court Aug. 2 (Grimm v. Gloucester Cty. Sch. Bd., 4th Cir., 15-2056, 8/2/17).

Grimm’s charge that his high school violated Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 by refusing to allow him to use the bathroom that corresponded to his gender identity—rather than his biological one—may now be moot, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit said.
