TikTok Inc.s head of legal compliance questioned the Justice Department’s policy of appointing independent monitors after criminal settlements, saying it nearly brought her former company to its “financial knees.”
Catherine Razzano, who in her previous role guided Panasonic Avionics through a two-year DOJ monitorship, advised the government to think carefully before imposing on companies what she called an “insanely expensive” enforcement tool that was “such a grind” for her former employer.
