Thune Sets Up 108 Trump Nominees for Faster Confirmation

Senate Republicans’ next batch of nominees will be more than double the size of its first with 108 of President Donald Trump’s picks in line for quick and mass confirmation.

Agency heads, ambassadors, US attorneys and assistant secretaries are among the picks in the group that Senate Republicans are expected to work on moving forward after next week’s scheduled recess.

The list includes Herschel Walker to be ambassador to the Bahamas. Walker is a former professional football player and GOP Senate candidate from Georgia. He was defeated by Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga).
