Media company Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment Inc.’s 2022 acquisition of the video rental kiosk operator Redbox Entertainment Inc. raised eyebrows among both companies’ investors, leading to lawsuits in the Delaware Court of Chancery seeking more information about the deal. One of those books-and-records claims goes to trial this week.
