Texas Newspaper Must Face Former Mexican Governor’s Libel Suit

Two Spanish language border area newspapers must defend a defamation and libel case filed against them by former Chihuahua, Mexico, governor Javier Corral Jurado over a series of articles that allegedly accused him of “invading” the property next to his home.

El Diario de El Paso and El Diario de Juarez, daily papers that circulate near the US-Mexico border published several articles concerning Corral Jurado’s ownership of that property in 2019.
