A Texas federal judge ordered Rhode Island Hospital to submit voluminous transgender youth medical records for the court to hold pending the outcome of multi-district appeals, even as another district court judge rejected the same Justice Department request.
Judge Reed O’Connor in the Northern District of Texas fired back Monday by accusing the hospital of “flagrant attempts to avoid compliance with lawful orders” after the hospital declined to comply with his enforcement order deadline by citing a home-district judge’s May 13 ruling that the subpoena was unlawful.
