The chief executive officer of a technology consulting firm will get a retrial of criminal charges that he failed to pay his employees’ Social Security and Medicare taxes, the Sixth Circuit ruled.
David Snyder, the former CEO of Attevo Inc., is entitled to a new trial on his tax convictions because the trial court improperly admitted evidence that he failed to file personal income taxes, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit said Sept. 19 in an unpublished decision.
