Tased Woman’s Excessive Force Claim Revived

A woman will get another chance to pursue her Fourth Amendment claims against an Illinois police officer she claimed used excessive force on her, after an Aug. 24 ruling of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

The lower court wrongly excluded evidence of the woman’s first encounter with the officer, Judge Ilana D. Rovner wrote for the court.
