Targa Resources Is Liable for Firing Environmental Whistleblower

Targa Resources LLC must pay a former employee more than $150,000 for damages and lost wages after a federal appeals court affirmed a finding that the company fired him in retaliation for environmental whistleblowing.

Kirk Menard was employed by Targa as an environmental safety & health specialist at its facility in Venice, La. from June 11, 2018, until his termination on Oct. 11, 2018.
