Synopsys Appeal in FOIA Suit Came Too Late, Ninth Circuit Says

Synopsys Inc. lost its chance to appeal summary judgment in a Freedom of Information Act suit brought by the Center for Investigative Reporting, after the Ninth Circuit ruled Thursday that the company failed to appeal in a timely manner.

CIR brought its FOIA suit against the Department of Labor, claiming that the agency improperly withheld workforce demographic data that Synopsys and other companies had submitted to fulfill their federal contractor reporting requirements.
