Supreme Court Revives GOP-Drawn Texas Voting Map for Now (2)

US Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito temporarily restored a Republican-drawn congressional map in Texas, acting little more than an hour after the state and its GOP leaders sought emergency intervention.

Alito’s late Friday order — which offered no explanation — applies until either he or the full court acts again. He signaled quick action, asking for opponents of the map to file a response by Monday.
