Supreme Court Remains Closed to Public for March Arguments

March 11, 2022, 6:16 PM UTC

The justices will continue to hear oral arguments in front of a limited audience in March, as much of the country lifts Covid restrictions in the face of falling caseloads.

“Out of concern for the health and safety of the public and Supreme Court employees, the Courtroom session will not be open to the public,” the court announced Friday.

Only the justices, essential courtroom personnel, attorneys, and credentialed journalists have been allowed in the courtroom since the court returned to in-person arguments in October.

The court will continue to live-stream the arguments.
