The US Supreme Court refused to reinstate millions in federal funding for family planning services that were stripped from Oklahoma after the state said its providers wouldn’t give abortion referrals or a hotline number for patients to call for the information.
In an order Tuesday, the court denied the state’s request for an emergency injunction that would have prohibited the Health and Human Services Department from withholding the funds for 2024-2025 from the Republican-led state while it fights the decision in the high court.
