The US Supreme Court won’t consider if it’s constitutional for police to arrest someone without a warrant for a misdemeanor that wasn’t committed in their presence.
A grand jury charged Victor Gonzalez with felony possession of stolen mail after police arrested him for misdemeanor loitering in a Miami neighborhood and found several pieces of mail addressed to neighborhood residents when they searched him.
