Suit Over First Grade Teacher’s Transgender ‘Agenda’ May Proceed

A Pennsylvania school district and a first grade teacher must face claims that they violated parents’ fundamental right to direct their children’s education by promoting the teacher’s “agenda” on being transgender, a federal trial court said.

First-grade teacher Megan Williams allegedly taught her students a curriculum that went beyond anti-bullying and respect for others. According to the parents’ complaint, she told her students that their parents may be wrong about their gender and that they can dress and wear their hair as they pleased.
