Suit Alleging Judges Covered Up Kozinski Porn Viewing Tossed

Former Ninth Circuit Judge Alex Kozinski and judicial colleagues can’t be sued over an attorney’s claim that they covered up Kozinski’s pornography viewing and retaliated against those who tried to expose it, a federal court said.

“The doctrine of absolute and quasi-absolute judicial immunity is expansive,” Judge Yvonne Gonzales Rogers of the Northern District of California said April 9. “Grave errors or malicious act alone, or even an improper conspiracy by judicial officers, do not tear asunder this immunity.”
