Stop Texas Nuclear Dump Plans, Group Asks Court (Correct)

The Department of Energy is illegally considering taking ownership of used nuclear reactor fuel for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to allow a company to build a waste storage facility, Beyond Nuclear Inc. said in its Wednesday request for a Washington federal appeals court’s review.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit should stop the Nuclear Regulatory Commission from continuing the licensing process for Interim Storage Partners’ planned facility in Andrews, Texas, Beyond Nuclear said in its petition.
