A federal district court erred when it dismissed a naturalized U.S. citizen’s claims that his due process rights were violated by inclusion of his name on the No Fly List, the Ninth Circuit said.
Yonas Fikre said that he didn’t have adequate means to challenge his placement on the No Fly List. He also argued that his reputation was injured by inclusion on the Terrorist Screening Database, because he was subjected to increased search procedures in front of other passengers when he traveled.
