Steve Bannon’s Bid to Stay Out of Jail Rejected by D.C. Cir. (1)

Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon‘s appeal to stay out of prison while he seeks review of his conviction for contempt of congress to the US Supreme Court was denied late Thursday.

Bannon failed to show that he’s likely to win if he’s granted certiorari by the high court, the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit said in an unsigned order.

Bannon was found guilty of contempt for refusing to testify and hand over documents to the congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6 2021, Capitol riot.
