The Senate passed legislation that would create a resource center to help track and combat threats against state court judges, amid a rise in threats against the judiciary.
The legislation (S. 3984), introduced by Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), a former Texas state court judge, passed via unanimous consent Wednesday night, a maneuver that allows bills to be passed under a fast-tracking process if no senator objects.
