US sports betting revenue jumped nearly 75% last year compared to 2021, driven by the launch of legal betting in Kansas and mobile betting in New York, Louisiana, and Maryland.
The sports wagering market generated total revenue of $7.56 billion in 2022, excluding sportsbook operations in tribal casinos, according to a report from the American Gaming Association released Tuesday. New York accounted for more than 18% of national revenue, as its online sports betting launch in January made it the largest market in the country.
