SPAC-Friendly Law Firm Expands to Strengthen Litigation Chops

Ellenoff Grossman & Schole, the New York law firm known for representing SPACs, is boosting its litigation expertise by combining with Kaplan Rice.

The firm gains eight lawyers in the move, which aims to generate work in practice areas such as securities and corporate governance litigation, regulatory and white-collar criminal defense, and board and special committee investigations. The tie-up, which took effect Jan. 1, comes as SPAC activity has tailed off from the highs of earlier this decade.
