A Sonic employee who succeeded on state law claims of sexual harassment and retaliation against her former employer won a second shot at a retaliation claim Wednesday, after the Ninth Circuit partially reversed a ruling from a California federal court.
Sarah Early, a minor, told the court she was the victim of sexual harassment, discrimination and retaliation at a Sonic Corp. restaurant operated by Keystone Restaurant Group LLC.
She suffered repeated sexual harassment by a manager, who cut her hours when she rebuffed his advances, and she was ultimately fired as a result of her complaints, she alleged.
