Solicitors General Lead State Lawyers at Supreme Court Lectern

State lawyers were frequent participants at the U.S. Supreme Court this term, including four who argued in the final sitting that wrapped up on Wednesday.

Texas Solicitor General Judd Stone appeared in five of the six cases his office has handled in the term that started in October, the last one a hot-button immigration dispute over President Joe Biden’s attempt to end the Trump-era “Remain in Mexico” policy.

Washington state Deputy Solicitor General Tera M. Heintz, Ohio Solicitor General Benjamin Flowers, and Georgia Solicitor General Stephen J. Petrany also represented their states in argued cases.
