Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom is starting a Supreme Court and Appellate Litigation Group led by veteran litigator Shay Dvoretzky, who joins the firm from Jones Day.
The move announced Monday marks the latest instance of a Big Law firm poaching a prominent name to start a Supreme Court practice, following Paul, Weiss doing so last year led by Kannon Shanmugam.
The former Antonin Scalia clerk Dvoretzky said in an interview Monday that it’s “a really exciting opportunity to launch something new at a preeminent firm.”
