Seyfarth will open an office in Seattle, its 12th in the U.S., to help serve clients in the region.

“We have many clients in the Pacific Northwest,” the firm said in a statement to Bloomberg Law. “We are very excited about entering the Seattle market and we look forward to formally announcing the opening of our Seattle office after we carefully build our team and finalize our new office space there.”

The firm, which recently rebranded to “Seyfarth” from “Seyfarth Shaw,” filed to do business in Washington State back in October, according to the state’s business and charities registry.

Seyfarth has brought on at least five partners for its new Seattle office.

It recently hired employee benefits partner Liz Deckman from Dorsey & Whitney, labor and employment partner Helen McFarland from Cozen O’Connor, and corporate partner Robert Over from Keller Rohrback.

It also added partners Denice Tokunaga and Jami Balint from Summit Law Group, along with associate Anne Purkey-Deller.

Seyfarth, whose revenue hit $669 million in 2018 according to Am Law figures, already has a presence on the West Coast with offices in Los Angeles, Sacramento and San Francisco.
