Service Members’ Vax Mandate Religious Bias Suit Needs More Data

Preliminary data plausibly suggests the U.S. military’s exemption for service members who object to forced Covid-19 vaccination on religious grounds is “a ruse,” but further results on exemption grants, denials, and the consequences for service members is necessary to know whether an injunction blocking the mandate is warranted, a federal judge in Tampa ruled.

The service members suing object to receiving Pfizer’s Covid vaccine because it was developed using cell lines from an aborted fetus. They challenge each branch of the U.S. military’s specific regulation requiring full vaccination against the novel coronavirus by a fixed date.
