Adnan Syed was released Monday after a Baltimore judge vacated his conviction for a murder he has claimed for decades he didn’t commit.
The Innocence Project welcomed Syed’s release and overturning of his 2000 conviction for the 1999 killing of his high-school classmate and ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee.
