Senate Democrats want Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker to testify before the Judiciary Committee, questioning whether his appointment is constitutional and expressing concern about his oversight of the Russia investigation.

Sens. Dianne Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Judiciary panel, and fellow member Mazie Hirono raised their concerns separately to committee Chairman Charles Grassley. The Iowa Republican said he’d be open to talking about Whitaker appearing.
