The Senate confirmed a pair of Justice Department lawyers to district court judgeships in North Carolina and teed up votes on two others after Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) blocked Joe Biden from appointing his nominees in the state.
David Bragdon, the chief appellate lawyer for the US attorney’s office in the Middle District of North Carolina, and Lindsey Freeman, who worked in the Justice Department during President Donald Trump’s first term, were confirmed to the trial court in that district on Tuesday.
