Securities Lawyer’s Fraud, Conspiracy Convictions Affirmed

A Florida securities attorney who argued that his fraud, conspiracy, and money laundering convictions should be overturned failed to convince the Eleventh Circuit that the district judge acted improperly.

A jury convicted James M. Schneider in 2018 for his role in a seven-year scheme to create fraudulent shell companies, pump their stock, and dump shares. None of his six arguments challenging the lower court outcome necessitate overturning his convictions, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit said in an unpublished per curiam opinion.
