In recent years, members of Congress from both parties have started to raise concerns about a nearly two-decades old law that helped create the modern internet. The law, Section 230 of the 1996 Communications Decency Act, made the web a haven for free speech and free expression and gave rise to big tech companies like Google, Facebook and Twitter. Critics say it has also made the internet a breeding ground for trolls, sexual predators, misinformation, and censorship. In this video, one of the law’s original authors, Sen.
