SCOTUS Won’t Review False Claims Act ‘Split’ on Doctor Opinions

The U.S. Supreme Court announced Monday that it won’t review an appeals court’s decision to revive a False Claims Act suit alleging that RollinsNelson LTC Corp. and others violated the False Claims Act by submitting claims to Medicare for medically unnecessary hospital admissions.

RollinsNelson argued in its petition that the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit relied on an incorrect pleading standard and reinforced a circuit split in its decision to reinstate a whistleblower’s suit.
