SCOTUS Frontrunner Kavanaugh Has Already Influenced Court

The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed with and quoted Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s dissents on at least three occasions, in separation of powers and environmental law controversies.

Kavanaugh is reportedly a top contender to replace retiring Justice Anthony M. Kennedy, for whom the judge clerked.

He now serves at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, a powerful court that was a stepping stone for Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia.

But Kavanaugh’s demonstrated ability to influence the court could be his strongest resume point.
