Scientist Fired Over Charlie Kirk Post Sues Florida Officials

A Florida scientist claims she was fired illegally from a state agency “purely in response to her political statement” which she made on social media after Charlie Kirk’s shooting death.

Brittney Brown says in a lawsuit filed Tuesday with the US District Court for the Northern District of Florida that she was ousted over her post about Kirk, the conservative political activist, in violation of her constitutional rights. The suit was filed against Roger A. Young, executive director of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and Melissa Tucker, Brown’s supervisor.
