Satanic Temple Unable to Place Statue in Minnesota City’s Park

The Satanic Temple’s challenges to a Minnesota city’s refusal to allow it to place a statue in a park after telling it that it could were rejected by the Eighth Circuit Wednesday.

The temple failed to state claims under the US Constitution, the state constitution, and the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act, the opinion by Judge Jonathan A. Kobes said. The temple also lost on a promissory estoppel claim, he said.
