Sam’s Club Consumer Drops Suit Over Cleo File-Transfer Breach

A consumer dropped her lawsuit against Sam’s Club and software provider Cleo Communications US LLC over a data breach linked to a vulnerability in Cleo’s file-transfer system.

Lead plaintiff Shoshannah Pass filed a notice of voluntary dismissal of the proposed class action Monday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, just one week after filing the suit. Cleo is facing at least 22 class actions in federal court over the breaches of its file-transfer system.
