Sameday Technologies Inc. will pay $22.6 million to settle claims that the company and its CEO faked Covid-19 test results and engaged in false advertising and insurance fraud, the Los Angeles city attorney announced Thursday.
Sameday, operating as Sameday Health, falsely advertised that they could deliver Covid-19 test results within 24 hours, and when they couldn’t fulfill their promises they falsified test results for at least 500 consumers, Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer alleged in a complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court.
