Rollins Workers Nab $3.9 Million Settlement Over 401(k) Platform

Rollins Inc. signed a class settlement valued at more than $3.9 million with workers who say the company’s retirement plan used a third-party investment allocation tool to push expensive and risky funds.

The deal is expected to provide about 40,000 people covered by the pest control company’s retirement plan since 2015 with gross payments of $100 each, according to a settlement motion filed Nov. 17 in the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

The settlement will be funded by payments from Rollins’ insurers, according to the agreement.
