US District Judge Robin Rosenberg has been selected to head the Federal Judicial Center, the judiciary’s research and education arm.
Chief Justice John Roberts announced the choice on Thursday as chair of the center’s nine-member board.
“Judge Rosenberg is an experienced judge with a deep interest in education and research and a demonstrated commitment to the Center’s mission,” Roberts said in a statement.
The Washington, D.C.-based center, which Congress funds, is a separate agency within the judiciary and has no policy-making or enforcement authority.
