Republican senators sought and received reassurance from Trump judicial nominees on their understanding of new Supreme Court precedent curbing nationwide injunctions.
Sens. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) and John Kennedy (R-La.) raised the subject on Wednesday at the Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing for four district court selections.
Their answers tracking the decision of the conservative-led court last June limiting injunctive relief to the parties before a single judge appeared to satisfy the lawmakers.
