Rag & Bone Holdings LLC is seeking a declaration that it didn’t violate the Lanham Act by using Miramar as part of the name for a line of clothes.
Rag & Bone has been selling its very lucrative Miramar collection for at least 13 years, the complaint filed Nov. 30 in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York says. But in August, Miramar Brands Group Inc. sent Rag & Bone a cease-and-desist letter accusing it of violating the Lanham Act and offered to enter into a licensing agreement with Rag & Bones, it says.
