Radio Frequency Firm, Whistleblowers Resolve Retaliation Suit

Microwave Techniques LLC and two whistleblowers have settled a suit alleging that the radio frequency company violated the False Claims Act by firing them in retaliation for raising concerns about alleged national security breaches.

The action filed by Kathleen and Brent Hinson was settled Oct. 4 and is now dismissed, according to a Monday order by the US District Court for the District of Maine.

Terms of the settlement weren’t made available. Counsel for the parties didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
