Pro Athletes Ask NCAA to Boycott Idaho Over Transgender Law (1)

Megan Rapinoe, Billie Jean King, NBA players Jason Collins and Reggie Bullock, and dozens of other professional and student athletes asked NCAA to move all events out of Idaho due to the state’s law barring transgender athletes from competing in womens’ sports.

The ACLU and dozens of other advocacy groups issued a separate letter to the NCAA bid selection committees requesting that it relocate all NCAA events, including 2021 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship games, from Idaho “due to the state’s recent passage of dangerous anti-transgender legislation that prohibits certain groups of student athletes from participating in school sports.”
