Illinois employers could face civil rights claims for use of artificial intelligence tools in hiring and other employment decisions if they have a discriminatory effect, under legislation Gov.
The measure (HB 3773) will also require employers to notify employees whenever they’re using AI with respect to “recruitment, hiring, promotion, renewal of employment, selection for training or apprenticeship, discharge, discipline, tenure, or the terms, privileges, or conditions of employment.”
