Two Virginia lawyers who pleaded guilty earlier this year for what prosecutors said was a scheme to extort $200 million from a chemicals manufacturing company were sentenced Sept. 18 to 12 and 24 months in prison.
“These two attorneys flagrantly violated their ethical duties to their own clients as they sought to extort a company out of $200 million,” said Acting Assistant Attorney General Brian C. Rabbitt of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division in a press release.
TImothy Litzenburg was sentenced to 24 months in prison, and Daniel Kincheloe was sentenced to 12 months. Both will face one year ...
