POW! Entertainment Inc. must be allowed to intervene in a Los Angeles lawsuit between the daughter of comic book artist Stan Lee and Stan Lee Entertainment Inc., a state appellate court said Tuesday.
SLE sued the Lee Family Survivor’s Trust in 2019, seeking to force the Trust to defend SLE’s intellectual property rights, which Lee assigned to SLE’s predecessor in a 1998 agreement.
In early 2020, the parties agreed to a stipulated judgment, stating that SLE owned the intellectual property rights at issue, and that the Trust would defend those rights.
