Pot Farmer’s Arrest After Giving Police Tour of Operation Upheld

A Michigan marijuana farmer has to live with his decision to give police a tour of his operation despite his claims that he was growing medical marijuana and they exceeded the scope of their warrant by taking the tour, the Sixth Circuit said Wednesday.

Lee Blomquist wasn’t growing the marijuana legally and the tour amounted to consent for the more expansive search, the court said in an opinion by Judge Amul R. Thapar.
