Polsinelli Launches New Litigation Support Center with UnitedLex

Polsinelli has launched a new support center in partnership with the alternative legal services provider UnitedLex, aimed to streamline the firm’s litigation and e-discovery support services.

Through the partnership, called PolsinelliPLUS, Polsinelli and the firm’s clients will work to reduce the number of documents attorneys need to review in e-discovery by 90%, according to a Polsinelli statement.

The center will use Questio, an early case assessment tool developed by UnitedLex, and provide access to more than 1500 global attorney reviewers and further resources.

“Polsinelli understands the physical and economic burden that clients experience with eDiscovery and legal data management,” Polsinelli Chairman and CEO Chase Simmons said in the statement. “We are committed to continuous innovation that reduces cost and drives value for the companies we serve. This new solutions center will provide the highest level of customer service across the eDiscovery spectrum.”

A leading ALSP, UnitedLex works with law firms and law departments on managing processes and implementing technology. The company’s most high-profile law firm engagement was with now-bankrupt LeClairRyan, which entered into a joint venture with UnitedLex in 2018.

The venture, ULX Partners, involved the rebadging of more than 300 nonlawyer employees of LeClairRyan to UnitedLex, which would then lease them back to the law firm.
